Rhonda embraced her first yoga class through her wellness program at work in 2017. She is quite the enthusiast and has played sports since the age of 6. Many have said for years that she should try YOGA. Although she didn’t think that she could slow her body and mind down long enough, she was instantly hooked after the first class and continued to develop her yoga breath and foundations. As she grew in her own practice, she decided to bring both passions of teaching and wellness together and become a yoga instructor. Rhonda received her Teacher Training Level 1 at Yoga Fit in 2018 and 200-hour Instructor Training at Yoga Flow in 2019.
Rhonda is a registered nurse, who holds a master’s degree in science of nursing and has been in healthcare for 32 years, mostly as a nurse educator/ instructor and emergency room nurse.
Off the mat, Rhonda hikes daily or kayaks with her black lab, Blackjack. Her other passion is kayaking/ SUP which she considers to be “yoga on water.” She loves the outdoors and is very active in her community. Along with Blackjack, Rhonda has two soccer loving sons and an astounding husband.
For those who say that yoga isn’t’ for them- Rhonda believes that yoga is for everyone and that each day you should make it yours. You deserve YOGA, you deserve to give yourself time for your own self-care and self-love, if only to take the time to BREATH into your inner being. Appreciate yourself and honor your soul. Peace, Love and Happiness.
