Emily was introduced to yoga in college, but she didn't develop a faithful practice until after a serious accident in 2008. Yoga was the perfect exercise to pair with her physical therapy. Long after her body & broken bones healed, she continued to have constant headaches. It was yoga that deepened her emotional and spiritual reserves, providing an outlet for dealing with chronic pain. A surgery in 2013 brought her fully back to health, and her love of yoga has only grown in the years since. In 2016 she completed her Yoga Alliance 200 hour yoga certification.
Emily is a licensed Registered Nurse, a mother, a runner, and an elder in her church. All of these things inform her yoga practice, and in turn, yoga has greatly enhanced these parts (and all parts) of her life. She has valued yoga more and more over the years for its elasticity; its adaptability. ' There is always space on the mat for you - no matter where you find yourself physically, mentally, spiritually, or emotionally. Emily is grateful for the opportunity to teach in the same wonderful town in which she was raised, and she looks forward to practicing with you!
